For a step and 329 kilometres, we are closer to the final list of bands that will join the EXIT tribe with the help of OPENS. Niš set the bar high.

“We knew excellent bands are there, but we really did not believe that the competition would be this tough. I do not know how jury will manage to select the best. But that is not the most impressive about Feedback where the audition was held. The support of the bands have each other as soon as they finish their performance was unbelievable, they are in the audience right away, in the first rows and they support the following band”, Valentina Antić, OPENS International Cooperation Coordinator.

Out of 57 bands and performers, nine bands were heard in Niš. These were young bands that came to audition from Kruševac, Skopje, Tetovo, Aranđelovac, Kumanovo, Niš and surrounding cities.

Some of them will have the chance to perform at Exit in Novi Sad, from 4 to 7 July. “When you are a young band this is an opportunity you must not miss. We had half an hour to give our best and to hope that that would take us to Novi Sad”, the guys from the band “Keni nije mrtav” say.

For the first time in the history of the festival, Play@EXIT competition will live assess the artistry of young musicians in the cities across Serbia, and the reactions are already surprising! During the performance in Niš, our inboxes were filled with invitations to other cities of Serbia. OPENS@EXIT
Camper Serbia will visit Pančevo and Užice during May, while in June the great battle of bands will be organised in Novi Sad, where auditions will be held, not only for best bands but for DJs! The selected musicians will perform from 4 to 7 July at OPENS State of EXIT Zone, Fusion Pub and Explosive Stage.

After Niš, enthusiasm, famous patties, jury and tickets for EXIT are packed in the colourful OPENS Camper and we will hit the road towards Užice where the members of jury will invite local rockers Eastock, hard-rock bands from Bonecarver from Ivanjica, duo Fade Out from Arilje, punk/HC band Reflection from Milanovac, alter-rockers Nikad spremni, punk grunge band G.R.I.M.M. from Bijeljina and local band Demode.
