“PROSTOR” AND ART IN THE SUBURB!

Theatre, cinema, concerts, comics workshops and art among the ruins of the old town, with a bit of summer rain – this year’s Street Music Festival – Gradić Fest is finished. 35 thousand people in total enjoyed the three days of the festival in the beauties of the baroque Suburb, filled with different performance arts.

According to the organizers, the suburb of the Petrovaradin Fortress shined with a special shine of good and quality cultural offer, with the successful experiment of closing the traffic for three days. This pledge for the future, in which this part of the city would be a pedestrian zone with quality artistic content strives for additional efforts of all people interested in the artistic scene and the citizens of the Suburb. Therefore, OPENS is included in the program which will from now on be implemented in the new creative centre PROSTOR.

“Open your mind and be yourself, no matter what other people say is the philosophy promoted by intercultural Novi Sad. It is intertwined through all our programs, we want to empower it and encourage it additionally in our city, which is a home for more than 26 nationalities and minorities. Therefore, we believe that the opening of new spaces, open for different groups of young people, is extremely important for our city” Aleksandra Ilijin, OPENS Program Coordinator says.

By opening this space, Street Music Festival made a large step towards the continuous work for the revitalization and establishment of this Baroque location.
