THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE TO NATURE

The zone of European Youth Capital at this year’s festival was not visited only by young people and regular visitors of Exit, but delegates to.

“It is obvious that OPENS Zone is wider and wider as the years go by. It is also obvious that more than 40 organizations for young people have taken active participation in the organization and implementation of the program activities at Exit. For the first time, young people across Serbia had the chance to present themselves at Exit, after the contest. The continuity of money income provided by the Provincial Government to OPENS will be continued and we are looking forward to cooperation in the future”, Dragan Milić, Assistant of Provincial Secretary for Sports and Youth says.

One of the points of OPENS Zone at Exit dealt with the preservation of nature and raise of ecological awareness. On that occasion, by leaving their footsteps in green colour around the three, the visitors had the chance to make it greener.

“Being here tonight and enjoying music, we will try to be more aware of the emission of carbon-dioxide. Regarding different initiatives, we have decided to initiate afforestation. Several thousands of threes will be planted in Vojvodina and that should enable the decrease of the emission of carbon dioxide. Now that we are here, where we are tonight, by our steps in green colour, we have marked the free zone”, H.E. Mr. Sem Fabrizi, Ambassador and Head of Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia says.

The topic of tonight’s Exit was Exit Tribe, which among other, represents return to nature, like our ancestors who lived in harmony with nature. Accordingly, the awareness of the protection of environment and ecology has been raised at the festival.

“Without initiatives, without financial means, without exchange of knowledge, many important things in Serbia would not have been done. We have gathered tonight, under the auspices of Exit and OPENS2019 because we have recognised their energy and power they promote through young people. By mutual ideas which are related to raising ecological awareness, ecological actions, we promote Exit and OPENS and ideas which do not have alternative in our life. There is no field that affects every man like ecology. There is no field regarding which we must change more.”

Many young people have joined the action of afforestation which should be implemented in September. There are currently around 500 volunteers for this action, and the organizers hope that the same number will join until the action itself.
