The Fair is Coming and It’s Bringing Summer, Too!

In the year when Novi Sad is European Youth Capital, the 8th fair of youth tourism, OPENS YOUTH FAIR will be held on 2 and 3 July 2019, two days before the world-famous music festival EXIT, when the city becomes the centre of young people from around 70 countries of the world.

What is important for us in OPENS is that several years ago, the idea to apply the city for European Youth Capital and show everyone that when united and when having youth organisations, different institutions and the city, we can make and excellent programme – was born at the Youth Fair itself.

Good things should not be changed!

The 8th OPENS YOUTH FAIR will be held at two locations at the city centre, Liberty Square and Katolička Porta, at it will enable the visitors to enjoy the rich program.

At Liberty Square, the content will comprise of two parts: fair and music. During the only open air youth tourism fair, at one place, tourist organisations from Serbia and the region, tourist agencies, manifestations and festivals, organisations with youth programs will present themselves. Therefore, the participants will have the opportunity to meet the attractions and interesting things from Serbia and the region, as well as the offer of other exhibitors.

The visitors will have the opportunity to exercise their brains at interactive workshops or to meet the programs of agencies, festivals and associations, and to express their creativity through art workshops and interesting games or to practice dance steps with numerous dance clubs. After the tour around the fair part, the entertainment will continue at OPENS Zone.

At Katolička Porta, the Night Fair will show the offer of numerous, creative designers and artists.

Both nights are reserved for unforgettable parties with domestic and regional music stars.

This year’s novelty is that OPENS YOUTH FAIR will have the FAIR PARTNERS for the first time. Tourist Organisation of Germany will, as the fair partner, through interaction and VR glasses, enable the visitors of the fair to see what is offered by this country. It will enable the visitors to participate in knowledge skills and win prizes. The interesting offer will also be presented by Nizhny Novgorod, the twin city of Novi Sad.

Apart from the title of European Youth Capital, held by the city this year, Novi Sad is a proud holder of another prestigious title – European Capital of Youth for 2021, and in honour of this title, “Novi Sad 2021” Foundation will open the door of its new office at the Liberty Square where interesting program will wait for the visitors.
