YOUNG PEOPLE ASK

It all began with the Small School of Museology in November, attended by the pupils of Design School “Bogdan Šuput”, Gymnasium “Isidora Sekulić”, High-School “Svetozar Miletić” and Gymnasium “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj”. The Matica Srpska Gallery gathered the experts in different fields, who are connected by the museum jobs and the peak of the education was the exhibition. Luckily, the end was not there. The Matica Srpska Gallery gave a choice to young people. They wanted to see how the pupils of high-schools would manage to deal with the organisation of the whole exhibition and make decisions and choices, and they were included in every step – from making the visual identity of the exhibition, design of leaflets, design of the accompanying programme, promotion… The memes were their idea.

The “YOUNG PEOPLE CHOOSE” exhibition in the Matica Srpska Gallery (Trg galerija 1), where OPENS has its zone, will be opened until 24 March 2019, but on Friday, 1 March, it will make a step forward.
Within the exhibition, the “Young People Ask” quiz will be held.

On this occasion, young curators of the exhibition, pupils of Gymnasiums “Isidora Sekulić” and “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj”, Design School “Bogdan Šuput” and High-School “Svetozar Miletić” – Miloš Broćeta, Maksim Vojvodić, Arijana Davidović, Lola Kostić, Marija Murgaški, Teodora Nikodijević, Ivana Nikolić, Sofija Petrović, Andrea Poljak, Milica Stevanović and Anica Čerevicki – will check your knowledge about the “Young People Choose” exhibition. Before the beginning, the curator’s tour through the exhibition will be organised for the visitors to have the chance to hear a bit more about the topics and artworks chosen by young people, and the newly gained knowledge will be necessary during the quiz. After the short tour of the “Young People Choose” exhibition, the participants of the quiz (visitors) will be divided in teams, their knowledge will be checked, and the members of the team with the highest number of points will get a small present.

In order to participate in the quiz, you should gather the team of up to five people, think of the name of your team and apply until 1 March at 12 p.m. at the Facebook page of the Gallery. Also, during the night, all visitors will have the chance to participate in the OPENS zone, where the OPENS Youth Club team will wait for them with different games.
