CREATE A MANUAL FOR YOUNG PEOPLE ABOUT NOVI SAD AND WIN A TRIP!

You know the well-known millennial quarrel in Novi Sad between the two groups of people about which index sandwich is better – the one in Maja or the one in Vanesa? Not even us, within the team, can agree on which place should be recommended to our guests. So we decided that you should be the one to decide!

We designed the “OPENS Challenge” – competition among young people directed to the development of the youth tourism. Actually, it is simpler that it is written: we just want to provide young citizens of Novi Sad with the opportunity to introduce their city to young people from the region and Europe by creating a short, modern and interested tourist guide for those who come to Novi Sad. If you know what is the best Novi Sad can offer and if you know how to present your city in an interesting way, this is a competition for you! Show us your photos and pieces of advice on how young people see Novi Sad!

What should I do?
Create a team of four young people, aged 18 to 30 yeas, who live, work or study at the territory of Novi Sad and have innovative ideas in the field of youth tourism and – apply. The application is filed by completing the online form and by submitting the Manual within it, until
25 June 2018 at 23:50. Subsequent and incomplete applications will not be taken into consideration. Information about the shortlisted teams will be sent to the teams by 1 July 2018. Only the teams with the most innovative and most interesting ideas will be invited to the next round to present their manuals at the conference which will be held on 11 July in Novi Sad, within “OPENS YOUTH FAIR”. The best tourist guide, which the professional jury will select at the conference will be additionally developed and realised in cooperation with OPENS in the form of printed guide. Also, the best team will be awarded a trip!

What should my manual contain?
When submitting the online form, the manual should be delivered in Serbian or English, in PDF form of up to 20 A4 pages, of the size of up to 100MB.

The participants of the competition are free to name their Manual, edit the content according to their preferences, in accordance with the needs and interests of young people who come to Novi Sad. The content of the Manual should be creative and adjusted to young people. For example, the basic information on Novi Sad can be included in the Guide:
 Interesting restaurants and bars
 Hidden places
 Hotels and hostels
 Places to go in case of one/two-day visit
 Urban legends
 Places to go out
 Significant events
 Culture and sport events, etc.

How should the manual look like?
The manual should be visually interesting for young people. Participants of the competition will have the freedom to make their own design, include the photographs and other similar content. We would like to remind the participants of the competition to pay attention to the copyrights of the owners of the photographs and other similar content included in the manual.

Upon the termination of the OPENS Challenge, the design and text of the best manual will be additionally developed in cooperation with OPENS, for the purpose of the preparation for print and publishing.
