OPENS CAMPER SERBIA IS ON!

On a great competition for young artists OPENS Play@EXIT, organised by OPENS 2019 – association of organisations European Youth Capital Novi Sad and EXIT Festival, 57 bands and performers were selected, who will have the chance to present themselves at the auditions in four cities across Serbia, while the best of them will perform at Exit in Novi Sad, between 4 and 7 July. More than 350 applications of performers from 74 cities from Serbia, region and even Great Britain, Italy, Malta, Turkey and Hungary arrived at the address of the EXIT Festival!

For the first time in the history of the festival, Play@EXIT competition will check the artistry of young musicians live, in cities across Serbia. In May, OPENS@EXIT Camper Serbia will visit Pančevo, Užice and Niš, while in June it will go to Novi Sad where auditions will be held, not only for the best young bands but also DJs! The selected musicians will perform from 4 to 7 July at OPENS State of EXIT zone, Fusion Pub and Explosive Stage.

The first large audition will be held on 7 May in Niš, where the jury will invite instrumental rockers There, HC/metal band from Macedonia Short Fuse Hero, alternatives Sickter, pop-rock band Hazel, hard-core name Suffering the Price, as well as electro pop band Ki, and the second round is also joined by punkers Keni nije mrtav from Kruševac, rock band from Aranđelovac Ferguson Airwaves, string quartet The Gents, metal band from Pristina Frisson and Kepurdath from Tetovo.

Exit’s music caravan will then go to Užice, there on 10 May, local rockers Eastock, hardrock band from Ivanjica Bonecarver, duo from Arilje Fade Out, punk/HC band from Milanovac Reflection, alter-rockers Nikad spremni, punk grunge from Bijeljina G.R.I.M.M. and local Demode will have the chance to show their skills.

The third stop of EXIT auditions will be Pančevo, on 20 May, where the talent will be presented by pop-rock band Rampa, indie elektro-pop band Ljubičice, punk rock/power pop name Sindrom, grunge people from Belgrade, Danga, funk & psychedelic rockers Aleja velikana, alter rock band Poptop, world/dnb/rnr O Nomad from Belgrade, instrumental surfer Moussaka, punkers Ukratko Štef, groove metal band Dusi, alternative band Reci Cimet and art pop singer Ksenija Kuljača.

Finally, the auditions will be held in Novi Sad on 5 and 6 June, where the following bands and songwriters will have the chance to perform: alter-rock name Mac Tire, metal-core rockers FYN, local glammers Clyde, acoustic emo duo See It My Way, Jelena Andronović and her genre fusion from rock to funk, young acoustic punk rockers Put za evakuaciju, local songwriter Dijana Stena, alter-metal band Meddle, rockers Cheap Moonshine, Sprž from Šabac with its punk-rock sound, indie band Paper Animals from Belgrade, electropop signed by Jana Vuković, alter-rockers Slonz, death metal from Vrbas Haste, Forgotten Scream who bring metal-core from Zrenjanin, HC/metal band from Beška Neman, as well as psy/metal/punk band from Belgrade Greota.

In Novi Sad, at the popular urban place Puberaj, DJs Miloš Pešović, Jovial Joint, Kozma, Milhøuse, Jovan Vidosavljević, Petar P, DJ Ilegal and DJ Petbe will show their skills in June.

All performers who have entered the round two of the competition will be informed about the necessary details in the following days by the organisers. The selection team of OPENS Play@EXIT competition consists of Valentina Antić, OPENS International Cooperation Coordinator, as well as members of the booking team of EXIT Festival, Milan Rakić, Igor “Zgro” Todorović and Miroslav Miletić.
