EXIT AND OPENS CHOOSE YOUNG MUSIC TALENTS IN SEVEN CITIES ACROSS

EXIT Festival and OPENS 2019 – association of organisations European Youth Capital Novi Sad launch the competition for young performers who are given the chance to perform at some of the stages at the Petrovaradin Fortress between 4 and 7 July, and for the first time in the history of Exit, Play@EXIT competition is coming at the performers’ doorsteps! After the application at the website exitfest.org, at the competition which will last until 20 April, the music jury will invite the selected candidates to show themselves at the stages at seven cities across Serbia, while the best of them will perform at EXIT Festival! During May, the Serbia OPENS@EXIT Camper will visit Subotica, Pančevo, Užice, Zaječar, Niš and Kruševac, and on 8 June it is coming to Novi Sad, where the auditions will be held, not only for the best young bands but also DJs!

The advantage in the competition will be given to young (up to 30 years old) musicians, and the best bands and artists will perform between 4 and 7 July at OPENS State of EXIT Zone, Fusion Pub and Explosive stage. The competition will last until Saturday, 20 April, when the last day for the application is, and the selected musicians will be informed about that by Thursday, 25 April. Those who are interested can mark the closest city in the application in which they would like to perform, thus the music camper will visit six cities of Serbia starting from 4 May, and on 8 June it will arrive to Novi Sad at the competition of the best bands of Novi Sad. On the following day, on Sunday, 9 June, in Novi Sad, the battle of the most talented DJs applied via OPENS Play@EXIT competition will be held, and the selected ones will perform behind the DJ desk at the OPENS State of Exit Zone.

The selection team of OPENS Play@EXIT competition will consist of Valentina Antić, OPENS International Cooperation Coordinator, as well as the members of the booking team of EXIT Festival, Milan Rakić, Igor “Zgro” Todorović and Miroslav Miletić. It is necessary that all interested people send at least two songs available at some streaming service via form available at the website of EXIT Festival, along with the CV, photograph and stated music genre for the music jury to include them in the application. The musicians will choose the city where they would like to perform and show their music skills in the application.
