HOW TO UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER BETTER?

The month of October is the month of mental health and it is celebrated at the global level. On that occasion, in Novi Sad, the fourth in a row Festival of Mental Health was organised. European Youth Capital is one of forty partners which participate in the organization of the Festival. On that trail, at the premises of OPENS, the “How to Understand Each Other Better” workshop was held.

“One of our tasks is to empower and support young people who do not have enough support and opportunities to gain tools and skills necessary for the inclusion and functioning in a community. Young people are quite interested in this topic, more and more young people is aware of the significance of mental health for optimum functioning in a society and a private sphere of life”, Mladen Ilić, Youth Activity Coordinator Assistant says.

Young people have got the answers to numerous questions related to the communication and communicational skills. They have found out how misunderstandings occur and how to, with skills of communication, they can fight the conflict situations and which strategies are the most practical ones for good understanding of the interlocutor.

The workshop was organised by Psihorient Psychological Centre within the “How to Work on Myself?” project, which is supported by the City Management for Health in cooperation with European Youth Capital Novi Sad 2019.
