INTRODUCTION FOR SUMMER ADVENTURES

The eighth OPENS Youth Fair – Fair of Youth Tourism was opened last night, on 2 July, officially at the City Hall, and at the Liberty Square and Katolička porta, the fair content was offered, while concerts are organized in the evening.

“Namely, 7 years ago, at the small houses, between the stands and organisations, at the square which gathered young people in the entire region, the idea to candidate Novi Sad for European Youth Capital was born. Therefore, OPENS is, at least partly, a part of the heritage of OPENS Youth Fair”, Vukašin Grozdanović, OPENS Coordinator says, adding that much more money is allocated to youth policy now than it was the case before and that Novi Sad is, apart from the place of the organization of the best European festival is also the limitless space for the development of youth programs and activism, which is proved by this year’s prestigious title of European Youth Capital.

The fair was symbolically opened by the last year’s winner of the contest of Exit Foundation, “Youth Heroes” in the field of entrepreneurship, Branislav Jovanović. He won the title because apart from three university diplomas and offers from abroad, he decided to return to Serbia and improve the family business in food industry.

“Introduction for Summer Adventures” – OPENS Youth Fair has become the serious manifestation a long time ago, around which all other responsibilities are planned. The old core of the city is now the zone which gathers everything that an average, young tourist needs – fun, festival, markets and purchase to the extreme excitement.
