THE PORTRAIT OF MIGRANTS IN THE ARTISTIC SPACE GERMANY

We gathered several hundred headsets, Državni posao and 12 super-successful start-ups and we were ready for the new issue. And then, we faced the challenge. Namely, we did not have the space.

Until we remembered the amazing space of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina.

At the address Dunavska 37, there are 2,500 art works including paintings, graphics, sculptures, drawings, films and photographs from the second half of the 20th century until today. And, among all of that, there are two amazing exhibitions which made some space for start-ups.

Art Space Germany
The exhibition of the German Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations IFA offers a bit different view of the painting scene in Germany, where the opened, de-centralised culture policy of that country significantly contributed to that. That is the first transnational conceived exhibition within the European international culture policy.

A Portrait of the Migrant as a Young Man
The artistic practice of the multimedia artist from Novi Sad, Dragan Vojvodić indicates the creative, artistic nomadism, since that within his interdisciplinary artistic research, he acts in the expended field of art, using performance, artistic actions, photography, installations, objects, video and interventions in a space. The name of the exhibition, A Portrait of the Migrant as a Young Man indicates to the James Joyce’s novel A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, his autobiographical discourse, the topic of the artist, growing up, spiritual emancipation etc.
